Gift Policy
The Family Place Parent Child Center is designated as a 501(c)(3) status non-profit organization by the United States Internal Revenue Service. The Family Place solicits gifts from a variety of sources including individuals, businesses, and foundations. The purpose of the gift acceptance policy is to govern acceptance of gifts, to provide guidance to donors, and to ensure that all gifts are structured to provide maximum benefit to both parties.
The Family Place may elect to decline a gift, subject to the judgment of the Executive Director and/or Board of Directors if the gift might expose the organization to significant liability; if it not deemed to fit within the mission of the organization; if is not deemed in the best interest of the organization; or if it is attached with restrictions that make it too difficult to administer or to comply with donor wishes and terms.
