Information and Referral
Information on community resources is offered over the telephone during normal business hours. Information and referral needs range from families needing help finding mediation to families needing someone to talk to about their child's development.
The Lending Library offers a multitude of pamphlets and brochures on parenting and child development as well as information on other community resources. The library includes information as Babyhood, Ages and Stages, Discipline, Nutrition, Motherhood, Fatherhood, Sleep, General Parenting, Safety and First Aid and much more. There are brochures on other state agencies, other parent child centers, infants and car seats, developmental milestones, the Hearing Outreach Project, and much more.
The Family Place Lending Library has an inventory of 370 books including titles such as Touchpoints, Parenting from the Heart, and Welfare Brat by Mary Childers. The library also contains a selection of educational video cassette tapes including Sex, Violence and Videogames, Maximizing your Childs Potential, Not Under My Roof, Protecting your Baby from Toxins at Home, and First Aid: Infant and Toddler I & II.
