“We’re on the WEB!”

November, 2007 ---- Norwich, VT   “We’re on the Web” is a phrase so common to our current culture, that to find someone not on “the web” feels just a little off, somehow.  The digital world is ubiquitous.  People go there to shop, for entertainment, and to learn.

            The Family Place has had a web presence for seven years.  Our website has grown as the internet has grown, and as we have learned more about how to make our beautiful yellow and white parent child center a virtual place parent child center.

            Over a year’s worth of planning and learning have paid off: The Family Place.  We have a beautiful, newly designed site that offers seamless navigation.  The depth and breadth of parenting information is interactive and easy to download.  We have added a place for donors, the press, and volunteers.  Donations can be made online, and are entirely secure.  There is even a place to shop for the lovely Jewelrio necklaces that are made by young mothers participating in an intensive parenting program!

            While there is no substitute for real people smiling, laughing, and sharing the journey of parenting young children, we are hopeful that parents who cannot make time to visit us will find what they need, and perhaps decide to come over for a visit!
